Bearna/Aille reservoir funding
The Minister said the proposed Tonabrocky Hill reservoir forms part of the Galway City Western Environs and County Area scheme, whose contract documents remain under departmental consideration.
andMr. Mannion asked the Minister for the Environment if he will give favourable consideration to an application from the Bearna/Aille group water scheme, County Galway, for the necessary finance to erect a reservoir on Tonabrocky Hill, so that the group can go ahead with a water scheme for that area.
Comment on this
The proposed reservoir at Tonabrocky Hill, from which the Bearna/Aille group proposes to take its water supply, is part of the "Galway City Western Environs and County Area Water Supply Scheme Stage 1 Phase 2". The contract documents for this scheme are at present under consideration in my Department and it is not possible to say at this stage when approval may issue.
