asked the Minister for Finance if his Department purchased some land in Tralee, County Kerry for use as an office block; if so, when it was purchased, the price paid and if this site was purchased with a view to Tralee being included in the decentralisation programme.

The Commissioners of Public Works have agreed terms for the purchase of a site in Tralee and legal formalities are proceeding. It is not the practice to disclose the consideration in respect of property acquired. The acquisition of the site is for the purpose of accommodating present and future Government staff based in Tralee.
