Question No. 4 written-reply error
Keating said Question No. 4 had mistakenly been treated as answered in writing and asked whether he could put a supplementary or retable it. Connolly apologised for the confusion, and Keating agreed to table it the next day.
Question No. 3 is postponed. I understand that Question No. 4 has gone for written reply.

Question No. 4 has not gone for written reply. I was informed in the General Office that there was some sort of error yesterday and that the reply was sent out by mistake, although it did not come to me. May I ask a supplementary question or may I retable the question?

I will try to clarify the position. I was led to believe that Question No. 35 on yesterday's Order Paper had gone for written reply. I was afterwards informed that this was not so and I wish to apologise to the House for any inconvenience which may have been caused.
