asked the Minister for Health the present position in relation to the building of the proposed welfare home in Strokestown, County Roscommon; and the approximate date work will commence.

The provision of a welfare home in Strokestown is included in the Western Health Board's programme of homes for the aged. The date when the home will be provided will depend upon the finance available to the board for capital purposes and the priority accorded to it in relation to other similar projects in the board's area.
