Kilcock bakery jobs at risk

Summary

Mitchell warned that 190 bakery jobs were threatened and pressed the Government for plans to save or provide jobs amid record unemployment. Moore acknowledged the grave situation but offered no specific proposal, and the Chair moved to the next question.

Jim Mitchell Mr. Mitchell Fine Gael

Is the Minister of State aware that 190 jobs at the bakery in Kilcock are under threat and have the Government any proposals to save them?

Comment on this

The Deputy will be aware of the Government's tremendous efforts to provide employment for all our people.

I am aware of the grave situation that exists but the Deputy should show the same responsibility that we showed towards this matter.
