asked the Minister for the Public Service the number of clerical assistants who will be called from the list of those who passed the examination in July 1980; and the number who passed this examination.

Of the 5,331 candidates who passed the examination 2,500 have been called to date but not all of these have accepted appointment. Callings will continue to be made according as vacancies arise. It is not possible to say at this stage how many more will be called.
