Paid Educational Leave report
The Government has considered the working-group report and will announce its decision shortly; copies are available on request, but whether the announcement will be personal or on the Government’s behalf is not clarified.
asked the Minister for Labour the current position regarding the reports submitted by the committee to consider the ILO recommendation and convention on paid educational leave; when the reports will be published; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The report of the working group on paid educational leave — ILO Convention 140—has been considered by the Government and I will be making an announcement shortly of their decision in the matter. The report has not been published but copies have been circulated to the bodies represented on the working party. My Department will make copies available to other interested parties on request.
