asked the Taoiseach if, in view of the increasing incidence of illicit drug taking in this country, he will transfer responsibility for the drug problem from the Department of Health to the Department of Justice, as this is the case in other European countries.

No change in the existing responsibilities of the Departments of Health and Justice in regard to drug abuse is at present contemplated.
