Meentycat turf-bank applications

White asked when Meentycat bogs would be divided after more than 40 turf-bank applications. MacSharry said the Land Commission had no turbary available, apart from one plot let yearly.

asked the Minister for Agriculture when the bogs at Meentycat, Drumkeen, County Donegal will be divided, as over 40 applications for turf banks have been made.

The Land Commission have no turbary available for allocation at Meentycat. With the exception of one plot which is let on a yearly basis, all the turbary reserved to the Land Commission in that townland has been allocated.
