FEOGA vessel loan charges

Summary

White asked why loan charges for FEOGA vessels were rising from 8% to 14% in light of the underspend. The Minister said this was a separate question he could not answer, and White objected that the Minister had raised secondhand vessels.

The Minister is aware that there is a scheme proposed under which the amount charged on loans has been increased from 8 per cent to 14 per cent on FEOGA vessels. Can the Minister tell the House why there was a shortfall last year of £1.89 million and this year it is proposed to increase the loan charges from 8 per cent to 14 per cent? Can the Minister give the House any information on that?

Comment on this

I cannot give the information requested. It is a completely separate question and I cannot answer it.
