asked the Minister for Transport if any consideration has been given to the ratification of the International (Torremolinos) Convention of 1977 on the safey of fishing vessels; and if it is intended to ratify this convention with the other member states of the EEC prior to 13 December 1982, as recommended by the EEC Council.

It is intended that the necessary legislation will be enacted in time to enable this country to accede to the Torremolinos International Convention for the Safety of Fishing vessels, 1977, before 31 July 1982 as recommended by the EEC Council.
