Following is the statement:

(1) Volume indexes of production.

(a) for Textiles, Clothing and Footwear Industries for the years 1977 to 1980.

(2) Estimated Value.

(b) of Production in Textiles, Clothing and Footwear Industries for the years 1977 to 1980.

(a) The available information relates to the volume index of industrial production for the firms whose principal industrial activity is in the sectors concerned.

(b) Estimated values obtained by using the relevant wholesale price index numbers in conjunction with the volume index numbers linked to the value figures available for 1976.

(c) Data from 1976 Census of Industrial Production.

(d) The estimated data for 1977 to 1980 are based on value of production (gross output) for these sectors as recorded in the Census of Industrial Production 1976, adjusted for changes in volume by the relevant volume index numbers, and for price changes by the relevant components of the wholesale price index.
