asked the Minister for Industry, Commerce and Tourism if he will make a statement on the prospects for the re-employment of those workers who were laid off by a company (details supplied) in County Cork.

I understand that the company in question hope to offer re-employment to certain employees who have been temporarily laid off. It is not feasible, at this stage, to indicate precise details in respect of such offers. It is, however, expected that a significant number of the employees who have been laid off will be re-employed by July/August 1981.
