Cork reconstruction grant inspection

Summary

The services portion of the grant would be paid shortly, but payment for reconstruction awaited completion of the work and a satisfactory further inspection.

Myra Barry Miss M. Barry

asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for the delay in the payment of a home improvement grant to a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

Comment on this

There has been no undue delay in this case. The Department's inspector's report of 3 April 1981 indicates that the reconstruction work was not then complete. The work relating to the installation of water and sewerage services was complete and the grant in respect of same will be paid shortly. Payment of the grant for the reconstruction work cannot be made until a further inspection establishes that it has been satisfactorily completed.
