Written Answers. - Clare Harbours.

asked the Minister for Fisheries and Forestry when it is intended to deepen the harbour at Liscannor, County Clare, so that local fishermen can bring their boats into harbour.

Comment on this
Thomas J. Fitzpatrick Minister for Fisheries and Forestry (Mr. Fitzpatrick, Fine Gael

Cavan-Monaghan): Because of the chronic siltation that exists at Liscannor Harbour, dredging, to be effective, would have to be carried out at frequent intervals. The level of commercial fishing from the port would not warrant the expenditure that would be involved.
