The information requested is not available in the format requested and its compilation would involve a disproportionate amount of staff time.

On 31 July 1981 there were about 38,000 applications for telephone service on hands in Dublin city and county.

It is expected that a majority of the existing waiting applicants in the area will have been offered service by the end of next year and the balance will be given service over the following year or so according as the remaining cabling, exchange etc., schemes required to meet them are completed.
