Expresspost service in Waterford

Summary

Expresspost is being trialled between Dublin, Cork, Limerick and Galway; Waterford may be considered after the trial experience is assessed. The Minister had no timetable for extending the service but said he would try to obtain information.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs why Waterford was not included in the new Expresspost service; and when it is expected that such a service will be provided.

Comment on this

The new Expresspost service is being introduced on an experimental basis in and between Dublin, Cork, Limerick and Galway where existing inter-city transport facilities are particularly suitable for the service. Consideration will be given to extending the service to Waterford and other large centres in the light of the experience gained when the service is introduced.
