asked the Minister for Health if her attention has been drawn to a report (details supplied), which is attributed to two Deputies, that £1 million is to be spent in pre-school facilities next year; if this report is correct; and, if so, why all Deputies were not informed of this new development.

I have seen the report in question. While no formal decision has yet been taken the Government are prepared to assist in the provision of such facilities in the coming year. The amount to be provided for the purpose will be decided in the context of the Estimates for 1982.
