(Dublin North-West) asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs if he has been requested to appoint an Honorary Consul in the Durban area of South Africa.

My Department is unable to trace a record of any such request. I would add that for many years our consular interests in South Africa have been adequately represented by an Honorary Consul in Johannesburg.
