Recognition of the PLO

Summary

O'Keeffe questioned Ireland’s recognition of the PLO in light of its recognition criteria. The Minister said Palestine is not recognised and asked him to table a separate question about the PLO.

Jim O'Keeffe Mr. O'Keeffe Fine Gael

Could I precede my next question by congratulating the Minister on his appointment and I wish him every success? In the light of the criteria which he lays down, how does he account for our recognition of the PLO?
