There are some 1,200 waiting applications in the Finglas exchange area, which includes Finglas East. It is confirmed that some of the outstanding applications were received in 1978.

Most of the waiting applications will be given service over the next year and the remainder over the following year or so.

The fault, which is in the underground cable, will be repaired within the next few days. Because of the number of such faults, which require attention by specially trained staff, I regret that there has been delay in repairing them.

It has not been possible to provide service so far for the person named whose application was received in February 1982 because of the large volume of engineering work on hands and requiring attention in the Waterford area.
