asked the Minister for the Environment if he will make the necessary arrangements to allow Dublin County Council to employ traffic wardens in the new towns of Tallaght, Blanchardstown and Lucan/Clondalkin, County Dublin.

Under the Local Authorities (Traffic Wardens) Act, 1975, a local authority may, after consultation with the Garda Commissioner, arrange for traffic warden functions to be carried out in their area by persons employed by them.
