(Waterford) asked the Minister for Labour when he intends to introduce legislation to reduce working hours as provided for in the First and Second National Understandings for Economic and Social Development.

The drafting of legislation to reduce statutory working hours and limit excessive overtime is now at an advanced stage and I hope to be able to introduce it shortly.
