(Waterford) asked the Minister for Labour if he will amend the Holidays (Employees) Act, 1973 to provide for a minimum of four weeks annual leave.

I have initiated a review of the Holidays (Employees) Act, 1973. The question of increasing statutory minimum holidays will arise and will have to be discussed with both sides of industry. I cannot predict at this stage what the outcome will be.
