Ringaskiddy road upgrading funds

Summary

Allen said the road to the Ringaskiddy terminal was in poor condition despite investment in the terminal, and asked when upgrading funds would be allocated. Brady said he knew the situation but offered no funding date.

Is the Minister aware that the authorities in Cork have invested large sums of money in the Ringaskiddy terminal and that the road leading to the terminal is not in the condition that is required? We expect and should get a better response from the Minister to a serious question. The road leading to the Ringaskiddy terminal is in a bad condition and the people in Cork expect to get funds to improve it.

(Dublin South-East): I am fully aware of the situation. I visited Cork recently and familiarised myself with the situation. The Deputy is well aware that the city manager was obliged to apologise for the accusations the Deputy made to me.

I have pointed out to the Deputy that he must put a question, not make a statement.
