Wexford County Council overdraft

Summary

Yates asks how the Council can address its £2 million overdraft. The Minister says he recently met the Council, which received money and was pleased with the meeting.

Arising from the reply in which the Minister has rejected any immediate proposals for this, what proposals does the Minister have to alleviate Wexford County Council's problem of a £2 million overdraft which they have no way of coping with?

I met Wexford County Council recently and I thought they were quite pleased with the interview. They went off very happy and they got on better than they thought they would. They were looked after; they got money.
