The grant will be paid when an inspector establishes that the house has been satisfactorily completed and is occupied by the applicant and that the other conditions applying to the grant scheme have been complied with.

Payment of the mortgage subsidy cannot commence until a grant has been paid and at least six months have elapsed from the date of execution of the mortgage deed.

My Department are awaiting the submission of a form S.L. 4 which the applicant has been asked to complete and have certified by his inspector of taxes confirming that he has not previously claimed income tax relief in respect of interest paid on money borrowed to purchase or build a dwelling.

On receipt of the above, an inspection will be arranged with a view to payment of a grant, if in order.
