asked the Minister for the Environment if he will implement the recommendation of the Law Reform Commission that there be placed on builders and vendors of houses, including local authorities, a statutory requirement in regard to proper construction and structural condition.

I assume the Deputy is referring to the recently published Law Reform Commission Report on Defective Premises which incorporated a draft Defective Premises Bill. I would refer the Deputy to the recent Government statement on this matter which stated that the Government have welcomed the submission of the report and are arranging for it to be considered fully by the Departments concerned.
