asked the Minister for the Environment when a house improvement grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in Bettystown, County Meath.

Under the Housing Regulations, 1980 (as amended) the latest date for completion of work and receipt in my Department of claims for payment was 30 June 1981. As this statutory requirement was not complied with in this case, a grant cannot be paid.
