asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs how it is possible to provide a telephone kiosk to serve the Palmerstown area, Oldtown, County Dublin, in the vicinity of the premises of the farm of a person (details supplied) in County Dublin when it is not possible to provide an additional telephone line to serve this person's business.
Comment on this
Where there is a delay in provision of cabling to meet telephone applications in a particular area it is policy to provide, where this is warranted, a telephone kiosk to meet general public service needs. It is regretted that spare cable plant is not available at present to meet the needs of telephone applicants in the area concerned.
