Tramore New Garda Station

Summary

The site for a new Tramore Garda station has not yet been handed over. The delay stems from awaiting a deed of conveyance from the town commissioners’ solicitors; the Department has written to them to expedite matters.

asked the Minister for Finance the up-to-date position regarding the provision of a new Garda station at Tramore, County Waterford.

Comment on this

(Clare): As the Deputy was informed in response to a question on 1 April 1982, the acquisition of a site for the new Garda station at Tramore is in hands. It had been hoped that the acquisition would have been completed by now but the Commissioners of Public Works are still waiting for the site to be handed over to them.

Comment on this

(Clare): We are awaiting a deed of conveyance from the solicitors for the town commissioners. It would be helpful if the Deputy could use his influence in this matter. We wrote to them recently to try to get this completed.
