Summary
Construction cannot begin until Donegal County Council acquires the site, and no Transport Vote funding is available in 1983; the project will be reconsidered when finances improve.
asked the Minister for Transport when it is proposed to proceed with the airport at Letterkenny, County Donegal.
Comment on this
I understand that work on the construction of the airport cannot commence until the site has been acquired by Donegal County Council. In view of the difficult financial situation prevailing at present it will not be possible to provide financial assistance from the Transport Vote for this project in 1983. Further consideration will be given to this matter when the financial position improves.
