Prescriptions for offshore island medical cardholders

Summary

The Minister says arrangements will continue to let offshore island medical cardholders receive medicines through their GPs as before 1 October 1982.

asked the Minister for Health if he will ensure that medical cardholders residing on off-shore islands will be able to have prescriptions supplied by general practitioners as was the case prior to October 1982; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Comment on this

Because of the particular problems which would have arisen for medical cardholders on the off-shore island, arrangements were made to continue the supply of drugs and medicines in the same manner as applied before 1 October 1982.
