asked the Minister for Education if an application to provide a community school in Castlecomer, County Kilkenny has been received in her Department; the stage this application has reached; and when it is expected that work will commence on the school.

A proposal for the establishment of a community school in Castlecomer is under consideration in my Department at present. Pending the completion of the Department's consideration of the proposal, the question of a date for the commencement of the building of such a school does not arise.
