Tooban National School Grant
The Department has agreed with the school authorities on the local contribution and will sanction a grant at an early date. Conaghan urged prompt action after years of site-related delay; Creed reiterated that the grant would be sanctioned early.
asked the Minister for Education the present position in relation to the proposed new national school at Tooban, Burnfoot, County Donegal.

Can the Minister tell me if a contribution has been agreed between the school manager and the Department?

For the benefit of the Deputy I will read the reply again:

I did not catch the first part of the reply, that is why I asked the supplementary. Would the Minister ensure that the grant is sanctioned as soon as possible because there is urgent need for the provision of a school which has been delayed, not through any fault on the part of the Department, but because there was a problem in relation to the site which occasioned a delay for a number of years? I would ask the Minister to ensure that there would be no further delay.
