Taxation and job applications

Summary

Fitzgerald sought to raise concerns about taxation in job applications on the Adjournment and asked for priority. The Chair said he could not raise it during Question Time and that all matters would be considered.

May I have a written reply to Question No. 63 on today's Order Paper. I appreciate you did not have an opportunity at the end of Question Time, but seeing that the House rises this evening until next week I asked you this morning if I could raise on the Adjournment the subject matter of Question No. 83 on yesterday's Order Paper, on taxation and job applications.

The Deputy will appreciate that until Question Time was over it was not possible to do that.

The point I want to make is that taxation and job applications are of great concern to parents and young school-going children at the present time throughout the country particularly the way in which the Minister is doing it now.

The Deputy cannot raise it in the manner in which he is doing now.
