Kerry unemployment figures
O’Leary requested unemployment figures for five Kerry employment exchanges. After the Chair initially said no supplementary questions were allowed when an answer would be circulated, Barrett gave Killarney figures of 670 in 1981, 800 in 1982 and 956 in 1983.
asked the Taoiseach the number of persons registered as unemployed in (a) Killarney, (b) Killorglin, (c) Kenmare, (d) Caherciveen and (e) Dingle employment exchange offices in County Kerry at the latest date for which figures are available and on the corresponding dates in 1981 and 1982.
