asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if sums of money posted by the Agricultural Credit Corporation did not reach the postal centre for posting and delivery; if the Garda have this matter under investigation; if so, the results to date of this investigation; and if he will make a statement on the matter setting out the circumstances under which this event occurred.

: A number of crossed interest warrants which had been collected by the post office from the Agricultural Credit Corporation on 31 January were found not to have been properly treated. Investigation by the Garda and the Post Office has not disclosed conclusively how the mistreatment occurred, but it appears that all but one of the warrants were recovered.
