Receivership and liquidation fees

Summary

The Minister said receiver and liquidator fees are not governed by a specified calculation method, but the issue is under review alongside proposed company-law amendments.

asked the Minister for Trade, Commerce and Tourism if he has any new plans to change the method of calculation of fees and expenses in receiverships and liquidations; and, if so, if he will give details of these plans.

Comment on this

While the Companies Act 1963 contains certain provisions relating to remuneration of receivers and liquidators, it does not specify how fees and expenses are to be calculated. These matters are being examined, however, in conjunction with various other proposals to amend company law.
