Summary
Lenihan urged the Government to implement an EEC directive increasing grants for young farmers with development plans. The Minister said it would be considered later in the year but gave no commitment.
On a separate aspect, would the Minister indicate whether the Government propose to adopt and implement the EEC directive which was adopted by the previous Government in principle concerning an increased grant towards young farmers pursuing a farm development plan and thus avail of EEC funds——
