asked the Minister for Trade, Commerce and Tourism the number of proposals received by the Examiner of Restrictive Practices under Article 19 (4) of the Restrictive Practices (Motor Spirit and Motor Vehicle Lubricating Oil) Order, 1981 for the operation of company stations involving the closing of existing company stations; the number of company stations closed; the storage capacity of the new company stations; and the number of petroleum companies which submitted proposals.

Since 1981 the examiner has received nine (9) proposals under Article 19 (4) of the order involving the closure of nine (9) company stations; the storage capacity of the new company stations totalled 119,200 gallons and four petroleum companies submitted proposals.
