asked the Minister for Education if she will set up an award scheme for pupils who have a full attendance record in (a) national and (b) secondary schools; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

I have no proposals under consideration for award schemes as suggested by the Deputy. Most schools operate their own systems, I understand, and I consider that administration of such a scheme on a centralised basis would not be suitable.
