Members sought details of the Minister’s advisers and assistants, including their terms, numbers and costs. The Minister referred to earlier replies, said there had been no change, and stated that the Minister of State employed no personal contract assistants.

asked the Minister for Transport the name, rank, salary, allowances and terms and conditions of employment of advisers and assistants, other than civil servants, at present employed by him.

I refer the Deputies to my replies of 26 January and 9 March 1983. There has been no change since then. The Minister of State at my Department does not employ any personal contract assistants.
