asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when it is proposed to automate Dungloe exchange, County Donegal.

It is hoped that this will happen before the end of this year.

If Dungloe becomes automatic before the end of the year can the Minister confirm that exchanges around Dungloe such as Arranmore, Burtonport, Lettermacaward, Bunbeg, Gweedore and other areas will become automatic in the very near future?

The Deputy should put down a question. I could not be expected to be familiar with all the places that he has mentioned.

Deputy Shatter will have to wait until such time as he comes into favour with the Taoiseach. I am addressing my question to the Minister of State, Deputy Donnellan.

If the Deputy puts down a question in relation to the exchanges he talked about I will answer it. He could not expect me to be totally familiar with any number of small exchanges of which there are quite a number throughout the country.

I hope that the Minister of State will answer and not Deputy Shatter.
