Bound volumes of Acts of the Oireachtas
The Minister said publication will continue; the 1978–79 bilingual volumes are available, while translation delays prevent predicting when 1980–82 volumes will appear. Enacting-language editions for those years are available, but Wallace called the response unsatisfactory and sought action on the delays.
asked the Minister for Finance whether it is proposed to continue the publication of annual bound volumes of Acts of the Oireachtas containing both these Acts and the official translations; and, if so, when the volumes for the years 1978 to 1982 will be available.

It is proposed to continue the publication of the annual bound volumes of the Acts of the Oireachtas containing both the Acts and the official translations. The 1978 and 1979 volumes are available. It is not possible to say when the volumes for the years 1980, 1981 and 1982 will be published.
There is a delay in the translation of the Acts and in order to obviate the delay, bound volumes in the enacting language have been published and 1980, 1981 and 1982 editions are available.

The Minister's reply is very unsatisfactory. We are asking what are the reasons for the delay and if the Minister can do anything about it but the reply we have had is negative.
