Patrick Mark Cooney Minister for Defence (Mr. Cooney) Fine Gael

The estimated expenditure in 1983 on equipment for the Defence Forces was £30 million approximately. This figure includes expenditure on defensive equipment, motor transport, ships, aircraft and naval, aviation, communications, engineer, workshop and office equipment. Separate expenditure figures for the Army are not readily available.
