Temporary Circuit Court Judge in Cork 2 speeches

Allen asked whether a temporary judge could ease Cork Circuit Court delays and their public cost. Fennell said the delays were under urgent examination but did not commit to appointing a judge.

asked the Minister for Justice if, in view of the chronic delays in the Circuit Courts in Cork, he will appoint a temporary judge to alleviate the distress and cost to the public.

As I indicated in my reply to Question No. 414 of 22 February last, I am aware of delays in relation to Circuit Court hearings at certain venues. Cork is one of those venues and I am having the overall situation urgently examined.
