Costs of Justice Ministers’ overseas visits
O’Kennedy asked who accompanied the Ministers and what their visits cost. Noonan said his Private Secretary accompanied him and that cost details would follow.
asked the Minister for Justice if he will state in respect of visits abroad by himself and the Ministers of State attached to his Department between 1 March and 20 March, on business other than official EEC business, by whom they were accompanied on each such visit; and the cost to the State, including air fare, accommodation and expenses of each such person.
Comment on this
(Limerick East): I refer the Deputy to the answer which I gave on Tuesday, 13 March 1984, (Official Report, Vol. 348, No. 11, column 2003).
I was accompanied on the trip by my Private Secretary. As the trip was completed only yesterday final details of the cost are not yet available. I will arrange, however, for the details of the cost to be supplied to the Deputy in due course.
