Teacher allocations for Dublin institutions

Summary

The Minister said teaching services for St. Brendan’s clinic and workshop and the School for the Blind are funded this school year, and their needs will be considered in next year’s allocations.

Mary Flaherty Miss Flaherty Fine Gael

asked the Minister for Education if she will give an assurance that the teacher allocation for Ballsbridge College of Business Studies for classes offered to St. Brendan's clinic and workshop in Sandymount and the School for the Blind in Mount Merrion will be continued in quota allowances.

Comment on this

My Department have authorised a specific allocation to the City of Dublin Vocational Education Committee to provide teaching services in the two institutions in question during the current school-year. The needs of those institutions will also be taken into account in connection with the allocations for the next school-year.
