St Mary's School Extension Report

Summary

The feasibility report on extending or adapting St Mary's is expected in the reasonably near future; a grant was sanctioned for necessary classroom improvements.

Matt Brennan Mr. M. Brennan Fianna Fáil

asked the Minister for Education when she expects that the Commissioners of Public Works will submit their report on the feasibility of the extension to St. Mary's boys school, Carrick-on-Shannon, County Leitrim, as a long delay in this matter could be dangerous, as the present pre-fab buildings are very unsafe.

Comment on this

I understand from the commissioners that they will be submitting in the reasonably near future their feasibility report on the extension or adaptation of St. Mary's boys national school, Carrick-on-Shannon, County Leitrim.

My Department have meanwhile, on the recommendation of the commissioners, sanctioned a grant towards the cost of carrying out necessary improvement works to one of the pre-fabricated classrooms at the school.
